Welcome to Our Website!
Grace Episcopal church is a joyful community eager to know and share the contagious joy of Jesus Christ! We are a Rite II congregation and have Holy Eucharist every Sunday. All those who have been baptized, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the Holy Eucharist.
Music is a vital component to our weekly gathering. While the Holy Eucharist is the central purpose for our service of worship, music is the instrument most clearly and effectively used by the Holy Spirit to prepare our hearts for communion. We have two guitar players, a flutist, a clarinet player and an organist who play during our services. The music at Grace is a mixture of the Hymnal, Gather, and Lift Every Voice and Sing.
Other aspects of our worship at Grace are truly “one of a kind”. It is not uncommon to see one member of the parish genuflect, make the sign of the cross, reverence the altar or bow as the cross is carried past by the Crucifer. Other parishioners might have their hands lifted in praise or utter a quiet “thank you, Jesus” while in prayer. Another member, just as active and devout, may be comfortable merely being quietly contemplative and not demonstrative in any way. All are welcome and celebrated.
We do join hands as a congregation and sing the Lord’s Prayer at the appropriate time during the Great Thanksgiving. Often, the Gloria, the introduction to the Gospel reading, the Sanctus, and the Agnus Dei are sung rather than spoken.
